The columbia sheep is a crossbreed of the lincoln sheep and the rambouillet sheep. They produce very fine wool.

After processing fleece into roving, it’s time to start spinning.

Roving becomes yarn through spinning. Spinning is a process of dividing and strengthening loose material into weavable yarn with a consistent diameter. Many methods for this process exist, but, inspired by Clara Sherman, I used a drop spindle.
