Ralph Skunkie Davis is a transdisciplinary transsexual artist whose sculptures act as liberatory tools, complicating the perception of non normative bodies in space through biomimicry, installation, prosthesis, and body modification.
They often work with apocalypse in mind, acknowledging the ways in which the trans body, historically and discreetly, is a site of constant rebirth and reinvention.
Skunkie received their BFA in Sculpture and Literary Arts & Studies in 2023 from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Their art has been featured by Drenched in Sweat Magazine (UK), Pilotenkueche International Art Program (DE), GEDOK Kunst Symposium (DE) and Dispatch Gallery (US). They are represented by Living Room Gallery, Chicago. They are currently based in Chicago.
