Throne for The Gorgeous & Gross (2021)

Steel, spray foam, spackle, silicone, artist’s hair, pearls

The form of this chair was inspired by medical images from inside my body of teratomas and ovarian cysts. I created it in an effort to externalize my pain, allowing the externalization to support me. It is functional, but can only hold one person.
